Tucked away on one of the last remaining private mid-century airstrips in the region,Hudson Hangar at Whimsy Flowers Farm is a restored 1965 airport hangar that now serves as a dynamic space for contemporary art, design, and creative collaboration. Meticulously renovated to highlight its original wood and metal structure, the hangar blends industrial history with a modern artistic spirit. Inside, vintage Valerio Bottini “Bubble” chandeliers cast a warm glow across rotating exhibitions, collaborative installations, and curated objects that connect nature, craft, and culture.

Hudson Hangar is home to private social club that hosts seasonal shows, custom workshops, and artist-led events presented in partnership with Whimsy Flowers and Gray Nivas, the artist residency founded by Petra (Gupta) Valentová. Petra’s work—ranging from blueprint-inspired textiles to fine art prints—is often featured in limited exhibitions onsite. A Fulbright fellow and member of the tART Collective in New York, Petra collaborates with the farm on objects rooted in indigo dye, floral forms, and place-based storytelling. The hangar also features handmade, flower-forward jewelry, leather accessories, clothing, and fresh floral offerings—all designed and grown on the farm. With approximately four public openings per year, Hudson Hangar invites a at Whimsy Flowers Farm visitors to experience a rare fusion of art, land, and legacy in the Hudson Valley.
