We're excited to return to Upstate Art Weekend this summer with a new group exhibition that brings together international and regional artists at Hudson Hangar.
This year’s show builds on the Gray Nivas Art Residency’s mission to foster cross-cultural dialogue through contemporary art—set against the industrial character of the Hangar. Our featured artists in residence, Veronika Drahotová and Štěpánka Šimlová (Czech Republic), will present new work developed during their time here in the Hudson Valley.
The exhibition also includes work by Petra Valentová, Jadina Lilien, Andrea Loefke, Ritika Bhattacharya, and others, curated by Jacob Rhodes of Field Projects (NYC). Expect a mix of abstraction, installation, and conceptual pieces—a snapshot of dynamic, current voices in art and design.
We’re also looking forward to the opening reception, hosted in collaboration with Whimsy Flower Farm. Their fresh take on floral design, set inside the raw architecture of the Hangar, makes the perfect space to experience the work and connect.
Whether you're from around the corner or here for the weekend, we hope you’ll stop by.
